The Pacific Media Watch Nius Dspace archive currently holds news reports and research papers, audio and video reports about media accountability, ethics, freedom of speech, safety of journalists and media ownership in the region. The monitoring service is a media and educational resource. It was founded in 1996 at the University of Technology, Sydney, and at the University of Papua New Guinea. Since early 2008, it has been supported by staff and postgraduate students of the Pacific Media Centre in the School of Communication Studies at AUT University, Aotearoa/New Zealand. Creative Commons Attribution-Non-Commercial-No Derivative Works Compiled and/or contributed by journalists of the Pacific Media Centre at AUT University in cooperation with the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism (ACIJ); Divine Word University Department of Communication Arts (DWU), Papua New Guinea; and the University of the South Pacific Regional Journalism Programme (USP), Fiji.
